About ToolDashy
ToolDashy is a collection of free online tools for small, everyday jobs: compressing a photo before emailing it, merging a few PDFs, counting the words in an essay, formatting a block of JSON, working out a loan payment or converting centimeters to inches. Each tool does one thing, opens straight away and works without an account, a download or a subscription.
The aim is simple, dependable utilities rather than feature-heavy software. Each tool page also explains how the tool works, what the result means and where its limits are, so you can judge whether the answer fits your situation.

- Image Tools (28 tools) — Compress, resize, convert and crop images, pick colors and extract text — entirely in your browser.
- PDF Tools (13 tools) — Merge, split, compress, rotate and reorganize PDF files without uploading them anywhere.
- Text Tools (8 tools) — Count words, convert text case, keep quick notes, generate Lorem Ipsum, test your typing speed and clean up text, right in your browser.
- Developer Tools (26 tools) — Format JSON, encode Base64 and URLs, test regex, decode JWTs, convert CSV/XML and work with colour codes.
- Calculators (89 tools) — Free calculators for money, health and fitness, cars and fuel, math and statistics, dates and times, grades, and unit conversions.
- Utility Tools (20 tools) — QR codes and barcodes, passwords, timers, clocks, a keyboard tester and random pickers — all running in your browser.
How the tools work
Every tool runs in your web browser. The image, PDF, OCR, barcode and QR code tools read the files you choose and process them on your own device with JavaScript and WebAssembly, so your files are not uploaded to ToolDashy's servers or sent to any other processing service. Text, numbers and settings you enter into the calculators, converters and text tools are handled the same way.
The engines some tools need — such as the text-recognition model used by Image to Text — are downloaded from this site the first time you use them, not from third-party servers. A few tools, like the Online Notepad and Countdown to Date, save your notes or settings in your own browser so they're still there next time; that data stays on your device. The Privacy Policy lists exactly which tools do this and how to clear it.
Because processing happens on your device, very large files are limited by your device's memory and speed rather than by an upload limit.
Using the results
Calculator results are estimates based on the formulas and inputs described on each page. Health and fitness calculators give general reference figures, not diagnoses or medical advice, and finance calculators give planning estimates, not loan offers or financial advice — actual lender terms, tax rules and individual circumstances vary. Free to use
ToolDashy is free, with no sign-up and no paid tier. To cover running costs, the site may show advertising in the future. If it does, the Privacy Policy will be updated first to explain what that involves and what choices you have.
