About this tool
The winning entry is chosen the same way as the Random Number Generator and Random Name Picker — using the browser's cryptographically secure randomness — before the wheel ever starts spinning. The spin animation is purely visual: the wheel's final rotation is calculated to land exactly on the entry that was already chosen, so the outcome is fair even though the animation is just for effect.
With "remove winning entry after each spin" enabled, you can use this to draw several winners in sequence from the same list without repeats — spin, note the winner, spin again for the next one.
Frequently asked questions
The winner is chosen first, randomly and fairly, before any animation happens — the wheel's spin distance and final position are then calculated backward from that already-determined winner, so the visual spin never influences the outcome.
